20th District lawmakers to host telephone town hall on Monday, Feb. 19

Sen. John Braun and Rep. Ed Orcutt will co-host a telephone town hall meeting on Monday, Feb. 19. The community conversation will begin at 6:30 p.m. and last one hour. The lawmakers will share a brief update on the 2018 legislative session and spend most of the time answering questions from constituents.

The event is much like an interactive radio program. Participants may ask questions or just listen to the discussion of issues that affect their local communities and entire state.

To join the call, residents can call (360) 209-3911. Once connected, they can press * (star) on their telephone keypad to get in line to ask questions.

The 20th District includes portions of Lewis, Cowlitz, Clark and Thurston counties.

Questions can also be submitted in advance via email by those who are not available or would prefer not to ask live on the call.

Sen. John Braun, R-Centralia, can be reached at (360) 786-7638 or john.braun@leg.wa.gov, and Rep. Ed Orcutt, R-Kalama, can be reached at (360) 786-7990 or ed.orcutt@leg.wa.gov.

This year’s 60-day legislative session began Jan. 8 and is scheduled to end March 8.
