Rochester Middle School student pages in the Washington State House of Representatives
Jacob Zipperer sponsored by Rep. Ed Orcutt
Jacob Zipperer paged in the Washington State House of Representatives last week. The Rochester Middle School student was sponsored by Rep. Ed Orcutt of the 20th District.
Jacob was able to experience the Legislature in the fourth week of the 2019 legislative session. Some of his responsibilities included delivering messages and documents to state lawmakers in their offices, committee meetings and the House chamber, and attending Legislative Page School.
“I enjoyed meeting with Jacob and hearing about his experiences as a page. It's such a unique opportunity for our student to see, firsthand, how the Legislature works,” said Orcutt, R-Kalama.
Jacob, 14, is the son of Lewis and Heidi Zipperer of Rochester. In his free time, Jacob enjoys drawing, reading, watching anime, and playing video games.
