20th District ‘virtual’ town hall coming Monday, March 20

Sen. John Braun, Rep. Ed Orcutt and Rep. Peter Abbarno are inviting residents of the 20th Legislative District to a virtual town-hall meeting the evening of Monday, March 20.

The meeting will go from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m., hosted on the Zoom platform. People wishing to participate need to sign up in advance, using the online form available at this link. Meeting virtually allows easy and convenient interaction with the 20th District delegation, while meeting on a weeknight avoids disrupting weekend family activities.

“There’s much to report to our constituents, especially in the areas of public safety, affordability and education, which are the Republican priorities for this session. We’re seeing progress on issues that affect communities throughout the state, like addressing the sharp rise of crime and the drug-overdose epidemic, as well as local issues like planning for future flooding in the Chehalis Valley,” said Braun, R-Centralia.

“This town hall also gives constituents a chance to express support or concerns regarding policy or budget proposals and to ask questions about these issues,” said Orcutt, R-Kalama.

“I am looking forward to listening to the concerns of our constituents from all over the 20th Legislative District and discussing solutions,” said Abbarno, R-Centralia. “With the 2023 legislative session more than halfway over, this is a great opportunity to provide folks with an update on the many good and bad policies making their way through the process and, of course, the many missed opportunities.”
